Most of you try out Jaikoz for getting more metadata for your songs, but one of its less advertised features is duplicate song deletion.
The way Jaikoz find duplicates is very powerful because it uses the sonic matching of AmpliFIND and the expert metadata matching power of Musicbrainz. It is format independent so for example it could recognise that a song encoded as Flac and the same song encoded as Mp3 are the same song.
Once you have matched all your songs you have three choices for identifying duplicates.
1. Matching songs with the same Musicbrainz Id
These songs have been matched to the same release, so are very likely to be a duplicate
2. Matching songs with the same AmpliFIND Id
These songs should be sonically the same, but you may not want to delete them if you want to maintain the same song on two different releases. For example if the same song is in your collection on an original album and a compilation, you may want to keep both.
3. Matching songs with e same Musicbrainz Id AND AmpliFIND Id
These songs have been matched to the same release AND are sonically the same so are almost definitely a duplicate
This choice is made at Preferences/Local Correct/Delete Duplicates, and you can then run Delete Duplicates from the Action menu or as part of the Autocorrecter.
You can also just show potential duplicates and then make the final decision yourself using the filters in the Filter Menu.
The Preferences also let you specify whether to actually delete, move or link to the duplicates

First of all, I just bought the license after simply using the trial version one time. Not because of the great results but because I was running MusicBrainz and decided find out more about your product and came across your blog, you sold me in the blog.
I appreciate your knowledge and concern for the issues facing individuals like myself who started ripping our CD's back in the dark ages when rippers were crude and user, like moi, were ignorant of the value of tags.
Anyway, I look forward to using your product to organize and correctly identify my hap-hazard collection of MP3s and FLAC files.
I particurlaly like that Jaikoz Audio Tagger can identify FLAC and MP3 duplicates of the same song and I really like the idea of either keeping or connecting, songs from the original album and later compilations.
This is a real nice feature because sometimes I like to listen to compilation of "the best of..." and would like to play the compilation and the original album, think for example, The Beatles, and listen to all of Abbey Road or The Best of the Beatles without missing a song because it got deleted as dupe..

May I suggest an extra feature? What about adding the option to delete duplicate songs having the same MB "OR" Amplifind ID. Currently only the option to delete songs having the same MB "AND" Amplifind ID is implemented. Hence, I need to perform the operation twice. Or, am I missing something?

Rocco you are correct, although I think most users would prefer to use on the other, Ill consider adding it.
I purchased Jaikoz while looking for a deletion utility. I agree that the delete function is an undersold feature.
None of the product reviewers I read mentioned the delete function, but after reviewing the program, think your methods of deletion have the potential to be much more accurate than other tools. I'm excited to finish tagging my library of 50k songs and see how much space I end up saving.
Is the 'MB id' not unique? In the end it at least removed one song entirely from my system (I'm just a kid - Simple Plan).
What I did (what I remember)
- open some folder
- auto tag
- save
- open another folder (kept the previous files open)
- chose 'delete duplicates'
- save (this removed too much)
I used to have problems when I need space from my hard drive. I didn't notice that duplicate files (mp3s, photos, docs, etc.) caused these problems. A friend recommended Duplicate Files Deleter and all my problems were gone.
